Ledger® Live: Desktop | Getting Started

Ledger® Live is the official desktop application for managing your Ledger hardware wallet. It allows you to securely manage, send, receive, and monitor your cryptocurrencies in one interface. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced crypto user, Ledger Live provides an easy and secure experience for managing digital assets.

System Requirements

Before installing Ledger Live, ensure your computer meets these minimum requirements:

• Windows 8 or later, macOS 10.14 or later, Linux
• 64-bit processor
• At least 4 GB RAM
• Stable internet connection
• USB port to connect your Ledger device

Downloading and Installing

Download the latest version from the official Ledger Live page. Choose your OS and run the installer. Follow the instructions to complete the installation. Once installed, you can launch Ledger Live directly from your applications folder or start menu.

Setting Up Ledger Live

To start using Ledger Live:

1. Open Ledger Live and select "Get Started".
2. Choose whether you are setting up a new device or restoring an existing one.
3. Connect your Ledger hardware wallet via USB.
4. Follow the instructions to verify the device and set up a secure PIN.
5. Write down your recovery phrase safely; this is crucial for wallet recovery.

Adding Accounts

To manage your cryptocurrencies:

• Click “Accounts” in the left menu.
• Select “Add account” and choose the desired cryptocurrency.
• Sync your Ledger device with Ledger Live.
• Repeat to add multiple accounts.

Managing Your Assets

Ledger Live allows you to monitor your portfolio, send and receive assets, and track real-time balances. The app ensures your funds remain secure with regular updates and notifications. It also provides a convenient overview of market trends and asset performance.
